The moment every pontoon owner knows

"Can you help me back onto the boat?" — said on every single trip.

You bought the pontoon so everyone could be together on the water — kids, parents, grandparents, friends. But the second someone wants to swim, the day gets harder: a high step over the pontoon tube, a slick ladder, and you standing there ready to catch someone who's struggling.

  • The awkward high step. Standard pontoon tubes sit well above the water — fine for able-bodied adults, rough for kids and grandparents.
  • The shortened swim break. Once climbing back on feels like a chore, people stop asking to get back in the water.
  • The "I'll just watch" guest. Some people quietly opt out of swimming altogether rather than deal with the ladder.

Why we created The Bow Mate - family on pontoon at water level
Why we created it

Why We Created The Bow Mate™

We were tired of watching family and friends struggle to get on and off the boat — the high step, the slick ladder, the person who just decided not to swim because getting back in was too much work.

So we built a stable, water-level platform for the bow of the boat, tested it on our own pontoon, and now we're sharing it with every pontoon family who's had the same problem.

The Bow Mate difference

One aluminum platform. A completely different day on the water.

Water-level access

Mounts to the bow to bring a stable platform right to the waterline — so getting in and out is a step, not a struggle.

Built to last on the water

Marine-grade aluminum construction, engineered for the trailer, the dock, and season after season of lake life.

Simple, documented install

No custom fabrication required for most setups. Step-by-step instructions so you can mount it in an afternoon.

Fitment varies by model year and pontoon tube spacing — confirm your exact fit before ordering. See below or ask us directly.

Before you buy

Will The Bow Mate fit my pontoon?

Fitment depends on your pontoon brand, model year, and tube spacing. Tell us your setup and we'll confirm before you order — no guessing, no returns hassle.

What we check before confirming fit

  • Pontoon tube spacing at the bow
  • Existing bow rail or fence configuration
  • Trailer vs. dock/lift storage
  • Model year, since spacing can change across production runs

Not sure yet? That's fine.

Full step-by-step installation details are documented so you know exactly what you're getting into before you buy.
